This is a beaded portrait on a background that features an embroidered and appliqued scene inspired by the "Spring" fresco found on Crete. The face utilized about a dozen different colors of beads; the hair more than a half dozen types of black beads including bugle and "E" beads, gold beads, cut glass crystal, and freshwater pearls. The flower is three-dimensional and is constructed using traditional wire stumpwork methods: it is hand-embroidered and assembled separately before being added to the piece.
